Acid and Alkali
Why do raw mangoes taste sour, cocoa powder tastes bitter, while water is tasteless? This is because the substance found in mangoes, cocoa powder and water are make up of different matter. These different matter causes substances to have different properties. Understanding the properties of these substances has helped humans in many ways such as in the use of toothpaste to prevent tooth decay, lime and lemon to make sourish candies and magnesia milk to cure gastric.
